Real estate developer WestProp says the heartbeat of the business is the fulfilment of customers’ needs.
“The company’s business model is premised around fulfilling the needs of customers through the role of master planner, financier and developer of appropriately designed, sustainably built residential and commercial properties within the Greater Harare Area,” it said in a recent notice
“As a real estate developer, the company’s major thrust is to spearhead property development in Zimbabwe. The company has a vision of laying “one billion bricks by 2050” under the mantra “Bringing Dubai to Zimbabwe” which means the development and construction of Dubai style buildings in Zimbabwe.”
The real estate developer is developing projects such as Millennium Heights, Pokugara Residential Estate, Millennium Office Park, The Mall of Zimbabwe, Pomona City, Warren Hills Golf Estate and a 60-ha eco-park village.
In its development, the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange-listed concern is riding on technology.
WestProp said it has tapped into PropTech —the use of technology to enhance the real estate industry.
“This technology is being implemented in WestProp’s lifestyle communities to offer residents an array of benefits, which include digital security systems, access control, home automation, energy-efficient lighting and renewable energy sources,” the company said in its prospectus.
WestProp is targeting to have laid one billion bricks in 27 years in an ambitious move that will make the real estate developer a pioneer of premium lifestyle communities in Zimbabwe.
It also plans to use the Smart City App in its projects.
A smart city is a place where traditional networks and services are made more efficient with the use of digital solutions for the benefit of its inhabitants and business.
“WestProp’s lifestyle communities feature a network of sensors and data-driven systems that provide real time information on everything from traffic to air quality. Residents can access this data through a central dashboard, giving them a better understanding of the environment around them and enabling them to make informed decisions,” the real estate developer said.
